Hilton London Bankside is entering a new chapter. The award-winning hotel has unveiled an ambitious 76-room expansion, introducing 12 new room and suite categories designed around wellness, family travel and elevated city stays.
From Peloton-equipped rooms to skyline-facing suites overlooking The Shard, the development strengthens the property's reputation as one of London's most forward-thinking hotel destinations.
A Design-Led Reflection of Bankside
The expansion takes inspiration from the creative spirit that defines Bankside itself. Throughout the new accommodation, guests will discover interiors characterised by bold colour palettes, playful detailing and contemporary design touches that feel distinctly rooted in the neighbourhood.
Art plays a central role in the guest experience, with carefully curated pieces enhanced by gallery-style lighting. Sculptural headboards, angular mirrors and bespoke finishes create a sense of individuality across the new rooms, while maintaining the comfort and practicality expected from a modern city stay.
The result is accommodation that feels both stylish and welcoming; a fitting extension of a hotel that has long championed design-led hospitality.
Elevated London Views From A New Ninth Floor
The centrepiece of the development is a newly constructed ninth floor, which opens soon. Designed to maximise its position above Bankside, the floor introduces sweeping views across London's skyline through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. It will also expand the hotel's suite collection, bringing the total number of suites on the property to 23.
Among the headline additions are the King One Bedroom City View Suite and King One Bedroom Landmark View Suite, both offering elevated perspectives across the capital alongside individually designed interiors and Executive Lounge access.
Many of the suites have been created with longer stays and added comfort in mind, featuring dedicated dining areas, coffee stations and spa-inspired bathrooms complete with walk-in jet showers. Selected suites also introduce private wellness and fitness spaces, complete with customisable lighting, sound and scent settings, as well as equipment options tailored to individual workout preferences.
Wellness Takes Centre Stage
As wellness continues to shape the way travellers choose where to stay, Hilton London Bankside has introduced accommodation specifically designed around fitness and wellbeing.
The new Premium Peloton Room provides guests with a dedicated training space centred around a personal Peloton Bike, positioned within a naturally lit fitness alcove. For business travellers, fitness enthusiasts or those simply looking to maintain routines while away from home, it offers a thoughtful alternative to the traditional hotel room experience.
The addition builds upon the property's existing wellness credentials, which already include a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool and treatment facilities.
More Space For Families
While luxury remains a key focus, families continue to sit at the heart of Hilton London Bankside's offering.
The new room categories have been designed with flexibility in mind, including generous interconnecting options and layouts that make navigating a London city break considerably easier.
The King Premier One Bedroom Suite offers accommodation for up to four guests, complete with a spacious lounge and dedicated dining area, while the new Two Queen Superior Room provides a practical option for families and groups travelling together.
Smaller families can also benefit from rooms featuring convertible chaise sofas, helping maximise both space and comfort.
Beyond the rooms themselves, younger guests are catered for throughout the property, from interactive experiences such as the Fox Cub Trail to playful touches in public spaces that help make family stays feel more relaxed and engaging.
Continuing A Strong Run Of Success
The expansion arrives at a time when Hilton London Bankside is enjoying significant recognition across the hospitality industry. Over the past two years, the property has collected a string of major accolades, including multiple World Luxury Hotel Awards, recognition in Condé Nast Traveller's Readers' Choice Awards and inclusion in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.
Its sustainability credentials have also continued to gain momentum. In 2024, the hotel became only the second property in the UK to achieve accreditation from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, further reinforcing its commitment to responsible hospitality.
Bankside has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade, emerging as one of London's most compelling cultural and culinary destinations. Hilton London Bankside's latest expansion feels perfectly aligned with that evolution.
By combining design-forward interiors, wellness-led experiences, family-friendly flexibility and some of the capital's most impressive skyline views, the hotel is positioning itself for a new generation of travellers seeking far more than simply a place to sleep.
