London’s Michelin starred Galvin La Chapelle is ushering in a new chapter of accessible fine dining with the launch of its highly anticipated lunch menu. Available since July this summer, this exciting new offering promises a relaxed yet luxurious dining experience, bringing together exceptional French technique and seasonal produce, all at an unbeatable price point.
As the Galvin restaurant empire celebrates its 20th anniversary, brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin continue to make fine dining more accessible without compromising on quality. In a city where Michelin starred dining is often associated with hefty price tags, Galvin La Chapelle’s new menu offers two courses for just £49 or three courses for £55, setting the stage for an unforgettable power lunch, client meeting, or celebratory occasion, without breaking the bank.

Both Luxurious and Affordable
Nestled in the heart of Spitalfields, within a Grade II-listed Victorian school with dramatic vaulted ceilings and an atmosphere that blends elegance with a touch of industrial charm, Galvin La Chapelle offers one of London’s most iconic dining settings. The restaurant’s soaring architecture and refined service make it the perfect backdrop for business lunches and personal celebrations alike.
The new lunch menu aims to offer a balance of accessibility and opulence, a hallmark of the Galvin brothers’ culinary philosophy. Celebrating seasonal ingredients and sustainable practices, each dish is crafted with the kind of finesse and attention to detail that has made the Galvin brand synonymous with culinary excellence. Whether you’re seeking a quick, elegant business lunch or a leisurely afternoon celebration, this new offering delivers it all, without the intimidating price tag that often accompanies Michelin starred dining.
Standout Dishes
One of the shining stars of the new lunch menu is the Orkney Scallop Lasagne with Sicilian prawn, Amalfi lemon, and "cacio & pepe" – a luxurious dish that beautifully marries French and Italian influences. The lasagne, a delicate layer of perfectly cooked scallops, is paired with succulent Sicilian prawns, their sweetness heightened by the zesty Amalfi lemon. The addition of “cacio & pepe,” a traditional Italian pasta seasoning made from black pepper and Pecorino Romano cheese, adds a creamy, ever so slightly spicy touch that elevates this dish to something extraordinary.
The Wild Halibut with stuffed courgette flower, plankton, and sauce meunière also offers an exceptional balance of refinement and earthiness. The fish is perfectly cooked, flaky yet tender, while the courgette flower adds a light, vegetal contrast. The plankton brings an unexpected umami richness, while the classic French sauce meunière – a delicate butter sauce enriched with lemon – completes the dish with its silky texture and citrus notes.
For dessert, the Gorgonzola Millefeuille with fermented cherry, Espelette pepper, and fig leaf oil is a revelation. The combination of creamy, slightly sour Gorgonzola and the sweet, slightly tangy fermented cherries creates a beautifully balanced dish that defies expectations. The addition of Espelette pepper adds a subtle heat, while the fig leaf oil introduces an aromatic, earthy undertone that ties the whole dish together. It’s a daring and inventive take on the classic millefeuille, one that highlights the Galvin brothers’ commitment to creativity and bold flavours.
A Summer of Celebrations
This new lunch offering coincides with Galvin Restaurants' celebration of two decades of culinary excellence. To mark the occasion, the Galvin portfolio has launched a special Taste of Summer Menu, which spans across their entire restaurant family. The limited-time menus celebrate the best of summer’s seasonal produce, offering diners a taste of the Galvin brothers’ culinary evolution.
The Taste of Summer Menu at Galvin La Chapelle is available from now until to 14th September, priced at £55 per person. For those seeking a more casual dining experience, the summer menus at Galvin Bistrot & Bar and Galvin Green Man in Chelmsford provide a taste of the same high-quality, seasonal ingredients at an affordable price point. Galvin Bistrot & Bar’s menu, priced at £28 per person, and Galvin Green Man’s offering at £24.50 for two courses, ensure that the Galvin dining experience remains accessible to all.
A New Way to Experience Michelin Starred Dining
With the launch of their new affordable lunch menu, Galvin La Chapelle sets a new standard for accessible Michelin starred dining in London. The combination of stunning seasonal ingredients, impeccable French technique, and the restaurant’s unmistakable atmosphere makes it a must-visit for those seeking a high-quality dining experience at a fraction of the usual cost.
